People often wonder why I wear wigs if I already have nice hair, and to be honest, it has nothing to do with me not liking what God has already blessed me with. I see makeup, hair, and beauty as a form of art. Doing your makeup is just like painting, only it’s on your face. It is a craft that takes many people months and years to perfect. I enjoy it because I get to explore my creative side for my personal pleasure, while also showing and teaching others as well.
Before I started my YouTube channel, I hesitated because I thought, “no one wants to watch videos of me doing makeup and hair, they already know these things.” And then I quickly realized, they don’t. Even I myself learned what I know now by watching other people’s YouTube videos. After friends encouraged me to finally start my channel, I realized that people watch these videos to learn a skill that you have and they don’t.
This week I posted a new video tutorial showing you how I applied and styled my curly wig to make it look natural. I love doing wig tutorials like these because so many people tell me they want to start wearing wigs but they just simply don’t know how or where to start. People also often ask me questions about how to do their wigs and I get so excited to explain and show them everything. I must say, it won’t be easy your first try and practice definitely makes perfect, but that’s the fun of it. Trust me, once you get it down, you are going to be slaying those looks like nobody’s business!
