Do you ever wake up feeling like you don’t want to do a full face of makeup, but you also don’t want to look like a zombie all day? Me too. Or maybe you’re not that experienced in makeup and you don’t really care for all of the extra, unnecessary stuff, only the basics. Well, whether you’re in a rush and only have 5 minutes to do your makeup, or you’re just opting for that subtle and natural glow, these 5 products are a must-have for every person’s makeup bag.
- Eyebrow Product: My favorite go-to eyebrow product is the brow pomade by Anastasia Beverly Hills (ABH Cosmetics). It glides on smooth and is the perfect product for either a quick natural brow, or an all-out fierce brow. An even easier and quicker brow product is a brow pencil, which you can never go wrong with. They are a great investment and in my unpopular opinion, they all work the same, whether it’s a $30 brow pencil from Benefit Cosmetics, or an $8 L’Oreal pencil from the drugstore. Below are some of my go-to eyebrow products and a link to check them out.

2. Moisturizer: It is extremely important to take care of your skin. Whether you enjoy being a bare-faced beauty, or applying that full-coverage foundation, your skin will always tell all. Of course everyone knows to drink a lot of water and wash your face everyday, but one step that often gets overlooked is moisturizing. I could go on and on about the benefits of moisturizing but to sum it all up, moisturizing helps to protect your skin against aging and dehydration, all the while leaving you with a smooth, healthy, radiant glow that is sure to leave people wondering, “what kind of water are they drinking?” Below are some of my top recommendations for moisturizers and a link to check them out.

3. Foundation: Since we are aiming for a quick and simple natural look, I’d stay away from the full-coverage foundation and opt-in for either a light powder foundation or a moisturizing tinted foundation. I love moisturizing tints because they can act as foundation by covering those stubborn blemishes while still giving you that subtle, natural glow. Powder foundations are great too because they are not as heavy as liquid foundation and don’t require much blending. They are also super quick and easy to apply whether you’re in the car, on the bus, or walking out the door. Below are my favorite products for powder foundation and moisturizing tints, as well as a link to check them out.

4. Blush: I believe that no matter what skin-tone you are, blush is the ultimate necessity for achieving that soft, natural look. Blush may seem unnecessary to many, but it really does give your skin that healthy, flushed look. It can also be used to sculpt your cheek bones, eliminating that step of tedious contouring. Lastly, the reason that I love blush most of all is that it helps you look younger and adds just a tiny pop of color. It makes you look awake and radiant and just gives that extra touch to emphasize your natural beauty. Below are some of my top blush products for a natural look and and a link to check them out.

5. Mascara: Remember when I talked about not looking like a zombie all day?…Yea, this is a major key. I love mascara because sometimes you just don’t have enough time to pop on a pair of false lashes, and many people may not know how to apply fake eyelashes. Mascara gives your lashes instant volume and length making you look awake and ready to take on the day in front of you. Below are some of my favorite mascara products and a link to check them out.
